Asparagus Crowns

Asparagus is expensive to buy in the shops but is easy to grow and tastes delicious freshly harvested from the garden. In our opinion there is no other vegetable that beats home-grown asparagus. We supply large one year old crowns which will establish quickly so that you can harvest your first crop (we recommend only sparingly) just one year after planting. Plants should be spaced 38cm (15in) apart in rows 1m (3ft) apart. Grown on our farms. Easy to grow. 5 crowns per bag. Available from late July to mid August. No Pre Orders will be taken
  • This all-male variety produces a mid- to late crop of tasty, straight spears, the quality of which only improves as the plant ages. It's a popular choice with commercial growers because it's ideal for producing both green or white asparagus, and it's compact foliage, which tends to die back in early autumn, maintains the plants natural vigor.
