Deep red in colour, the fruits are extremely dense and so perfect for paste, passata and pasta sauces - or simply just for juicing. But with such a wonderful flavour don't just use this tomato for cooking! A vigorous and reliable habit - one of our favourites and one that we highly recommend.     Huge! This is the variety that holds the record for producing the world's largest tomato. Despite its novelty value, this is a truly delicious variety with sweet, dense, juicy flesh that is truly gorgeous grilled, fried or even pulped down for sauces and paste (freeze your surplus for winter use). And of course these are fantastic for hollowing out and stuffing!

    This is an indeterminate variety and best grown as a cordon (vine).
    Support of the developing crop with strings, canes or similar will be essential! For best yields stop at 3rd or 4th truss if growing under protection (2nd or 3rd outside). Whilst the best crops will be grown under protection, this variety can also be grown outside.

  • 'Thai Pink Egg' is a bush (determinate) type so does not require staking. The delicious, sweet, pink, grape-shaped, 40 mm long fruit are sold in Thai markets. It is a very heavy cropper, continuing to fruit in humid areas. it is resistant to cracking even in heavy rain. Days to harvest: 55 - 75.

  • An heirloom variety which has beautiful flavour that is rich, sweet and tart all at once, the texture is smooth and meaty. The fruit is an orange globe to 75 mm, held in clusters of 2 or more. It is resistant to cracking and blossom end rot. Yellow tomatoes can be even better for you than red tomatoes as they contain a more easily assimilated form of lycopene. An indeterminate (climbing) type so requires staking. Days to harvest: 73 - 78.

  • This is an open-pollinated variety. It is a paste type which are sometimes called plum or roma tomatoes, but these are a dark fruit colour, cross between a Black Beauty and a Roma. Fruits are elongated, up to 11 cm long and weighing up to 100 g approx. Fruit has a sweet and rich flavour when well-ripened. Colour is similar to a 'Black Beauty' ranging from dark red to mahogany. The tomato plants grow to 1.8 m tall on skinny vines with wispy leaves, it produces well over a long period. It is recommended for sauces, chutney and drying. An indeterminate (climbing) type so requires staking. Days to harvest: 70 - 80 days.
